Speakers Robert C. Allsbrook holds an MS in Economics from the University of Alabama, a BBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He taught various CFA exam prep classes; taught economics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; and was a guest lecturer in investments at various UNC campuses. He is a member of the American Bankers Association Committee that advises the Federal Reserve Board of Governors; and also served on the staff of US Senator John C. Stennis [MS]. He makes frequent national and local media appearances; speaks to numerous trade groups; and publishes weekly on the regions.com website
Dan Bailey is Chief Executive Officer at The Alabama Bankers Association in Montgomery where he oversees all operations of the Association and staff as well as serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. He joined the Association after nine years with the Arkansas Bankers Association. This followed a career with the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Dan holds a BA and MBA from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
John Hall is senior vice president of public relations for the American Bankers Association. He and his team are responsible for all of ABA’s media outreach on financial topics ranging from credit cards to credit unions. He often serves as spokesman on behalf of the Association in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, USA Today as well as hundreds of local newspapers and trade publications. ABA’s public relations department fields more than 3,000 media calls each year, sharing the banker’s perspective on current events and defending the industry when necessary. Prior to this position, John specialized in public relations for bank security, fraud, technology and wealth management topics. He also spent two years directing media tours for ABA’s Banking Advisor Program, a group of volunteer bankers that worked with radio, television and newspaper reporters in the top 50 media markets in the U.S. Before coming to ABA, John served three years as public relations manager for the international educational program, Up With People. John received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi.
Hanson Borders brings more than 19 years of financial auditing and consulting experience to his role as partner-in-charge at Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC. He is responsible for the ongoing servicing of financial institution clients, which includes overseeing the completion of engagements such as opinion audits and tax services, internal audits, SEC compliance issues and management advisory services. He is responsible for on-site supervision of professional staff and their compliance with all professional and regulatory standards. He also oversees the offices’ management advisory services which consist of de novo bank formations, S corporation conversions and other advisory services. He has worked with Mauldin & Jenkins since receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from The University of Georgia. He received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Charles Moore is an attorney in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, and is a member of the firm's Banking and Financial Services Practice Group and Real Estate Practice Group. Charles regularly represents financial institutions in a variety of lending matters, including mortgage warehouse lending and real estate finance transactions. Charles also has experience with bank regulatory compliance matters, bank formation and acquisition transactions, and purchases and sales of commercial real estate. Recently, Charles has advised several Alabama-based banks in connection with their participation in the United States Treasury's Capital Purchase Program. Prior to joining Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, Charles attended the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 2004) and Vanderbilt University (B.A., 2001). Charles is a native of Clanton, Alabama, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Peoples Southern Bank, a community bank located in Clanton.
Richard Moore, 2009-10 President of Alabama Bankers Association, is President and CEO of Peoples Southern Bank in Clanton, Alabama. He has been involved in banking for more than 30 years as a bank attorney, officer and director. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama and The University of Alabama School of Law. Richard is a member of the Board of Directors of the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. In his community he is active in his church and a number of civic organizations and committees. He enjoys golf and traveling. Richard and his wife Sally have been married for 32 years and are very proud of their three children and one grandchild.
Trabo Reed is the Deputy Superintendent of banks at the Alabama State Banking Department where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the department including supervision programs for approximately 130 banks in the state of Alabama.
Robert Reynolds exclusively represents lenders in commercial litigation throughout Alabama and in bankruptcy proceedings in Alabama, the Northern District of Florida, and other bankruptcy courts throughout the country. His firm Reynolds, Reynolds and Duncan maintains offices in Huntsville, Tuscaloosa and Montgomery and represents financial institutions throughout Alabama. He is a graduate of Auburn University and graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1979. He is a member of the faculty of the Alabama Banking School and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Robert is Board Certified in both business and consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification.

Registration
The cost to attend is $295 per person and $195 per spouse or guest. For more information about the different pricing, please see the registration form. Complete the registration form and return it along with a check for all fees payable to The Alabama Bankers Association. Additional copies of the form may be made as needed. Members are encouraged to fax a copy of the registration form to The ABA and then mail the original with a check. Please keep a copy of the completed registration form for your confirmation. To appear in the official roster of attendees, registrations must be received no later than June 30. Everyone is encouraged to register early. Everyone must be registered in order to have a name badge. Your name badge will serve as your admittance to all events.
Hotel Reservations
The ABA has reserved a block of rooms at The Palms of Destin and Conference Center until June 8, 2009. After June 8, reservations will be subject to availability and regular rates. The junior 2 bedroom suite is $195. The 2 bedroom suite is $242. The 3 bedroom suite is $359. The room rate is available three days before and three days after the conference based on the hotel’s availability.

The Palms of Destin & Conference Center is located just west of the intersection of Hwy. 98 and Hwy. 293 (Mid-Bay Bridge). Cancellation Policy
All cancellations and substitutions must be received in writing. They may be faxed to (334) 834-4443 or may be emailed to info@alabamabankers.org. Full refunds will be made if written notice of cancellation is received on or before June 15, 2009. After June 15, 2009, and prior to July 1, 2009, one half of the per person fee will be refunded. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 1, 2009. Substitutions are welcome.
